You may have noticed — we’re now officially River City Youth. Earlier this year, we asked our youth which name felt right for our next chapter. The winner? River City Youth — short, clear, and deeply connected to who we are today. We’re excited to keep building our programs and community under this name.
Spring Outdoors Club
After introducing Yasuhara phoenixes to the nature in our area this February and March, we're excited to launch a new season of Outdoors Club after Spring Break! If you're interested in volunteering with the club on their Spring adventures, please email wilson@youthops.org
Earth Day Block Party Celebration!
We’re teaming up with Spokane Zero Waste, with support from West Spokane Wellness Partnership, to bring our community together for a day of sustainability, creativity, and fun.
Expect:
🚲 Bike Rodeo – Youth can sharpen their biking skills in a safe, closed-off street!
🍽️ Food Trucks – Enjoy free delicious food!
♻️ Upcycling Activities – Hands-on fun for youth to get creative with repurposing materials.
👕 Clothing Swap – Refresh your wardrobe sustainably!
🎶 Live Music – Enjoy local tunes while you explore.
🌱 Community Organizations – Learn about the amazing environmental work happening in Spokane!
We’re closing Elm Street to traffic, so come by bike, on foot, or however you roll. Bring friends, family, and your love for the planet! 🌎💚
